Scope and Contents
Journal written by Elizabeth Wood Kane containing accounts of her family's problems with deciding to stay in Pennsylvania; her husband, Thomas L. Kane, having a desire to move to California, East Tennessee, or Canada; her husband's business affairs; and their trip to New York. Also includes drafts and copies of letters from Thomas L. Kane. Only 63 of the 280 pages have writing on them. Journal entries date from June 6, 1864 to December 12, 1867.
