Scope and Contents

Letter from Thomas L. Kane to Elizabeth Wood Kane saying that he isn't coming home on the Petrel because of his health. Instead he'll be taking a steamer that will dock somewhere in the South. He talks about the possible places he'll go in the West Indies. Dated January 24, 1853.
