Biographical History

Robert W. Wickern was born in Los Angeles County, California, in 1928. He graduated high school in 1946 and enrolled in community college. After his first semester, he enlisted in the army for the tail end of World War II. He was stationed in Japan during the signing of the armistice. After the war, he attended the University of Southern California. He got married and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When he retired, he became a guide in the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Heber City, Utah. He passed away in 2011.
