Biographical History

Delbert Coulson was born November 28, 1930, in Grand Junction, Colorado and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He joined the National Guard in 1947 and graduated from high school in 1950. In 1951, he was sent overseas to Japan. After returning home, he continued his National Guard service on and off for 14 years. He married and raised four daughters with eight grandkids. He received a pilot's license when he was 52. He helped form the Rocky Mountain Wing of the Commemorative Air Force in Grand Junction, Colorado.
