4 page personal history by Clario Ceccon titled "A Professional Desereter?" Included document in which Don Norton indicates this story was collected from an Elderhostel personal history seminar class that he taught at Brigham Young University in the 1980s. Clario Ceccon fought in WWII for Italy, then was drafted into the German army, then deserted back to the Italian Fascist army, then deserted again and joined the Red Partisans. He finally deserted this army as well, and went back home to await the end of the war.

Biographical History

Clario Ceccon (1923-1997) was born on June 15, 1923 in Fiera, Primiero, Trento, Italy to John Baptist Ceccon and Silvia Orsingher. Clario deserted from the Royal Italian Army four times during the course of World War II. Clario passed away on March 4, 1997.
