General
Note on verso: "Helen Foster Snow and Huang Hua at United Nations reception in New York, Oct. 1, 1977. He was an old friend of both snows in 1935-1937 when he was a leader of the De3c. 9th student movement, and we encouraged it. He was the first student volunteer to go to the Red Armie and was Edgar snow's interpreter in 1936 in Pao-an and elsewhere. He had to give up his graduation in Econimcs at Yenching University only 3 weeks later in June, 1963. I got arthritis in 1977 and was quite sick but almost cured it."
