She married William Dewine Ream on November 11, 1885, and spent years ranching in Dingle, Idaho. Together they had ten children that lived to adulthood. She resided in Utah, Idaho, and California. She died on November 30, 1945 in San Francisco, California, and was buried in Dingle, Idaho.

She was a nurse in the Philippines for over a decade and her service there coincided with World War II. She was later the dean of Brigham Young University's College of Nursing from 1961-1965. She was the mother of two sons and died in 1989.
