William Riley Hurst diary, 1980
Scope and Contents
William's family spends much time together. William's son Reed crashes his truck into a 2000 lb bull, destroying the truck and harming the bull enough that it had to be put down. William writes of the politics of his day, including his thoughts on the presidential race and his contempt for Russia. William and Carol begin regularly watching their daughter's children so she can attend classes. William writes of his church activity. There is a heat wave and many people and poultry die from it. William begins to suffer from the effects of aging.
