Twenty black and white photographs of the ancestors of David A. Squires, taken at studios in Ogden, Brigham City, Manti, Logan dated approximately 1870-1910. Names on photographs include Annneth Tillitson, William Shurtliff, George Hancock, Joseph Hammond Watkins, Lydia Ella Hancock, Charlotte and Laura Squire Tillotson, David Peters, Laura Jones Davis, David Merrill Squires, Charles Ephraim Tillotson, John Peters, Charles Hancock, Luna Nickles Squires, and Willie Squires.

Biographical / Historical

From the Collection:

David A. Squires graduated from Brigham Young University's College of Education as a history education major in 1958. After serving in the Air Force, David taught Utah history classes at Lincoln Junior High School in Orem, Utah, during which time he conducted an oral history project with his students from 1967 to 1972. He later taught for the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University. As of 2018, David was retired and and he and his wife Lois were residents of Orem, Utah.
