William Riley Hurst diary, 1975-1977
Scope and Contents
William gets in a car crash. He is uninjured, but everyone else in the other vehicle was badly hurt to the point of needing surgery, and a baby was killed. Consequently, charges are pressed against him for manslaughter. He is charged with negligent homicide at his preliminary hearing. His daughter Heather announces she's getting married contrary to William's wishes and not returning to school. William's business continues to struggle and nearly fails. Someone breaks into William's store and steals thousands of dollars worth of goods. William decides to sell the Westside Market. He suffers from a seizure. His daughter Heather has a baby.
