Scope and Contents

Autograph letter signed, from Thomas L. Kane to Mr. Biddle, $100,000 would be required for a road “which may bring up capitalists and settlers from the crowded East as well as put us in communication with the hungry old counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania,” the coal subscription, what to do in case “the Bill” either carries or fails next winter, 1 p., folded, written on 4 sides, 8 May 1860.
