Photocopies of David A. Squires' papers, including a memorandum from Wallace E. Allred, Chairman of Secondary Education at Brigham Young University, a certificate awarding distinguished service to education, a memorandum from Sally M. Todd commending the work of David A. Squires, clippings, and other certificates, dated 1975-1998. Also contains an email printout of "Ventures: Teaching Beyond the Obvious," by David A. Squires, and six separate sections of poetry written by David. Materials dated approximately 1975-2016.

Biographical / Historical

From the Collection:

David A. Squires graduated from Brigham Young University's College of Education as a history education major in 1958. After serving in the Air Force, David taught Utah history classes at Lincoln Junior High School in Orem, Utah, during which time he conducted an oral history project with his students from 1967 to 1972. He later taught for the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University. As of 2018, David was retired and and he and his wife Lois were residents of Orem, Utah.
