General

Note on verso: "121. ENTRANCE TO CLUB-ROOM IN ONE OF THE RED ARSENALS, in Wu Chi Ch'eng, Shaanxi. Note the decorative effects of the greenery and paper festoons around the arch. Each week one group of arsenal workers is responsible for cleaning, decorating and providing entertainment within this clubroom. Ping-pong, it may surprise you to learn, is a facorite sport in the slubrooms of these hard-bitten 'bandits', the average rank and file age being 19 and not averse to any form of good clean, fun. Photo by Edgar Snow, 1936."

General

Stamp on verso: "Henriette Herz 119 East 39th Street New York City."
