Biographical History

Dawn Beckstrand was born in Delta, Utah and raised on a farm in Meadow, Utah. After graduating from high school in 1941, she attended Dixie College in St. George. At the outset of World War II, her brother and nephew were drafted. She moved to Salt Lake City and worked. When her brother returned, she went with him to Los Angeles, California and got a job at an airplane factory working on the wings of planes. After the war ended, she worked for a time in San Francisco and then in Casablanca. She returned to America to be with family and got her old job in San Francisco. After retirement, she moved back to Utah and lived in American Fork. She spent a great deal of her life traveling all over the world.
