Typescript of Elizabth Dennistoun Wood Kane’s diary entry for 14 February 1896, copy, mentions “Lelly,” typed note from E. Kent Kane at bottom reads, “ ‘Lelly’ may have been the boyhood family ‘nickname’ of my father, her eldest son, Elisha. He always detested the pet name so much he would never reveal it, nor would my mother,” 1 p.
