Kane to Aunt Ann, marked “Confidential,” she is “keeping [his] story for [his] children,” asks her to find out how EWK kept him from exposing Charles Biddle, “I would like you who are proud of me to know why my worldly success has been interfered with,” Henry Biddle is General McCall “in all but the name of the thing,” may be “forced to relinquish my place here,” 1 p., folded, written on 2 sides, 24-25 January 1862.
