Recording on audiocassette of an interview with Oral B. Birch, conducted by Ben Bahlmann on January 15, 2000, in Sandy, Utah. Birch tells about joining the Army Air Corps, his training as a pilot, his experiences in combat during raids over Europe, and being shot down and captured by the Germans.

Biographical / Historical

Oral B. Birch was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He trained as a pilot, and was shot down and captured by the Germans.
