Administrative History
The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is part of the College of Biology and Agriculture. It was created in 1967 when the Department of Agronomy and the Department of Horticulture were merged to strengthen both programs. The new department was part of the College of Biological and Agricultural Science that had been created in 1954. Prior to that, both departments had been members of the College of Applied Sciences. An important part of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is the University farm located in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Custodial History
These materials were transferred to the University Archives from Records Management on June 4, 2002. The records were stored in Records Management from 1990-2002. Prior to that they were in the custody of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture.
