Biographical / Historical

The College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences was established in 1981 in a merger of the College of Family Life with the College of Social Sciences. The college is responsible for administering associated academic departments and research institutes. College deans have included Martin B. Hickman (1981-1986), Stan L. Albrecht (1986-1989), Donovan E. Fleming (1989-1993), Clayne L. Pope (1993-2001), David B. Magleby (2001-2011), and Benjamin M. Ogles (2011-2021), and Laura Padilla-Walker (2021-).

The scrapbook was created by the Brigham Young University College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences. At some point, it was donated to the University Archives, where it was found in the stacks in December 2007.
