Biographical History

The Alexander Wilkinson family were Mormon converts who emigrated to Utah from Scotland. The Wilkinson family was formed with the marriage of Alexander Wilkinson (1832-1906) and Margaret Brown (1839-1914) on December 31, 1858. They eventually had twelve children. Both Alex and Margaret were raised in Scotland. They later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Alex being baptized in 1860 and Margaret joining in 1868. In 1875 they emigrated to the Utah, and settled in Ogden where Alex worked as a carpenter.
