Scope and Contents

Contain four scrapbooks about Brigham Young University Band, which includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and notes. Also includes six copies of Reflection, a yearbook of the band, and one copy of Cougars Illustrated magazine, and notes, meeting minutes, letters, and other information from the Cougar Band Alumni Association. Materials dated from 1956 to 1994.

Administrative History

The Cougar Band Alumni Association (1970- ) was created to involve band alumni in performances.

The Cougar Band Alumni Association was formed in 1970 by Russell Harward and Marilyn Mitchell. It is similar to the Cougar Club, only it supports the Brigham Young University band organization and also gives former members a chance to participate again in band activities.
