The Center for Family History and Genealogy (est. 2000) is a research institute at Brigham Young University.

The Center for Family History and Genealogy was established in 2000 as a research institute. The unit is charged with helping people find their ancestors, to understanding the context of their lives, and to train students for temple and family history service. The Center is partnered with Religious Education, Department of History, School of Family Life, Family, Home, and Social, Sciences, Computer Science Department, State Archives of Niedersachsen, Germany, State Archives of Bavaria, Germany. Directors included Raymond S. Wright III (2000-2003), George Ryskamp (2003-2008), Kathryn Daynes (2008-2011), and Jill N. Crandell (2011- ).
