Biographical History

Benjamin M. Brown is a property management professional from Arizona.

Biographical History

Phil Brown (1936-2010) was a Mormon rancher and farmer in Arizona.

Philip Ray Brown was born on June 19, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Joseph Albert Brown and Elda Whiting. He grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Johns, Arizona. He later served a mission for the Church to Brazil from 1956 to 1959. After his return he married Antoinette Hatch in the Mesa Temple on December 20, 1960; they had eleven children.

Brown attended Brigham Young University, graduating in Animal Husbandry in 1961. He then worked as a rancher and farmer in Arizona, and later served as Chief Appraiser for Bureau of Land Management for the state. He was an active member of the Church, and served as a bishop and as mission president to the Porto Portugal Mission (1990-1993). He also served as a specialist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Missionary Department.

Brown died on August 22, 2010 in Sandy, Utah.
