Biographical History

Herald R. Clark organized and handled many concert series at BYU from 1913 until 1966. Clark started as an understudy of John C. Swenson and became president of the BYU Community Concert Association from 1937 to 1966. Groups that appeared on campus during this time include: New York Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, French National Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Los Angeles Symphony, Berlin Symphony, and many more groups from around the world. Also appearing on campus were many well known solo vocalists, pianists, and other musical artists.
