Administrative History

From the Collection:

The Department of Business Education and Office Management was organized in 1957 under the direction of Weldon J. Taylor who was the Dean of the College of Business. The department offered courses in business English, report writing, and office operations in its first year of operation. Then by 1971 the department’s curriculum had been revised and was now offering undergraduate majors in business teaching and office administration. The department also offered a two-year secretarial program, executive assistant program, and courses for graduate business education.
