Risk Management and Safety (1993-2009) was an administrative unit at Brigham Young University.

The Risk Management and Safety department was established under Human Resources in 1993, and was responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with the operations of the university. This included consulting with individuals and departments to eliminate risks and procures insurance as necessary, ensuring proper safety programs and procedures, and provides safety-related training. The department also managed the university emergency preparedness programs and coordinated with local and state emergency preparedness agencies. Subdivisions of the office included Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Health and Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Claims, Special Projects, and Insurance (including Workers Compensation). Managing Directors were J. Wesley Sherwood (1993-2003) and Glenn Johns (2003-2009). In 2009 the unit name was changed to Risk Management.
