Scope and Contents
Digitized transcripts, printers' proofs, grammars, vocabularies, dictionaries, glyph studies, botanical studies, commentaries, articles, editions of codices, personal correspondence, 44 original manuscripts, imprints, maps, charts, drawings, photographs, notes, memoranda, Maya Society materials, genealogies of Maya families, and Mayan glyphs on moveable type. Many of the items are reproductions. The materials relate to the languages history and archaeology of the Indian peoples of Central America, and emphasizes the Mayan and Aztec civilizations.

Digitized materials are primarily in English, but some Spanish, Italian, and French items are also included.
Conditions Governing Access
Restricted. Closed for 35 years from the date of creation of the records, and thereafter open to the public in accordance with the University Archives Policy.

It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from Digital Initiatives project records must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Board of Curators.
