Administrative History

The Graduate School (1929-1986) was an administrative unit at Brigham Young University. The Graduate School was responsible for developing, coordinating, and operating the graduate programs, and also worked with coordinating and planning so that undergraduate and graduate level classes would be compatible for the university. The Graduate School was renamed Graduate Studies.

Biographical History

Chauncey Cazier Riddle (1926- ) was a philosophy professor and academic administrator in Utah. He served as dean of the Graduate School from 1970 to 1977, and Assistant Academic Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Curriculum from 1977 to 1980.
