Contains materials gathered in relation to the dedication of the J. Reuben Clark, Jr. Law School at Brigham Young University. Includes dedication remarks, meeting minutes for the Law School Centennial Committee, agendas for dedication meetings, convocation notes, correspondence, questionnaires and a centennial guide book. Also included are law building trip reports and photographs of law buildings at various universities and institutions including University of Utah, Salt Lake City; University of California, Davis; Loyola University, Los Angeles; University of Southern California, Los Angeles; Texas Tech, Lubbock, Texas; University of New Mexico, Albuquerque; and the University of Chicago. Materials span from 1971-1975.

Administrative History

The J. Reuben Clark Law School (est. 1973) is a teaching unit at Brigham Young University.

The J. Reuben Clark Law School offers a six-semester course of graduate professional study leading to the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. The following individuals have served as chairmen and acting chairmen: Rex E. Lee (1973-1976, 1977-1982), Carl S. Hawkins (1976-1977, 1982-1986), Bruce C. Hafen (1986-1990), H. Reese Hansen (1990-2004), Kevin J. Worthen (2004-2009), and James R. Rasband (2009- ).
