Scope and Contents
The original of this Quiche-Spanish vocabulary was written by an anonymous Franciscan priest of Guatemala. This manuscript is a copy made, probably, at Zacapula, Guatemala, in 1787 by Fermin Joseph Tirado who announces the fact that he knows the Quiche language. He was paid for doing this work by Father Joseph Joachin Heriquez of the Archbishopric of Guatemala and priest at Santo Domingo Zacapula. Fermin adds to the original manuscript a short vocabulary by the same anonymous author together...
