The Wild West (1993) is a large-format IMAX documentary directed by Kieth Merrill and produced by Destination Cinema. The production combined staged historical reenactments with landscape cinematography shot on location across the American West. The film was designed for museum and destination theaters rather than traditional theatrical release. Multiple script drafts were reviewe (including adding notes), and correspondence was held between Merrill and the film studio executives.
