This series contains manuscripts for books, short stories and screenplays by Zane Grey, Loren Grey, and others related to Zane Grey, and two biographical manuscripts, dating from between 1910 and 1990.

This subseries contains a manuscript of The Living Past: The Autobiography of Zane Grey and a screenplay of We are Enjoined to Overcome the Last Wilderness -- Ourselves, dating from 1927 to 1938.

This file contains a manuscript of The Living Past: The Autobiography of Zane Grey, 236 pp., dating from 1938. Note on the final page says: "November 10, 1938. Note: Stopped for the present at the conclusion of the first year in college of Zane Grey." There were two other works publihsed in the Zane Grey Collector with some variation on The Living Past, but this manuscript does not appear to have been published.

This file contains a screenplay of We are Enjoined to Overcome the Last Wilderness -- Ourselves, 111 pp., dating from 1927. This screenplay is arranged into four sections: We Are Enjoined to Overcome the Last Wilderness -- Ourselves; Lina Elise Roth Grey "Dolly"; Zane Grey "Zane"; and Postlude and Five Years Later. A note on the front says: "This screenplay, though written via special contract with Zane Grey Corporations... is a work of fiction."
