Contains draft notes and files on Thayer's work "Roses." Includes a photocopy of the work as published in Dialogue in the winter of 2006, drafts, and other documents. There is a note from Thayer citing the changes made to the title, and discussing in brief the progress of the work to publication. It also includes letters and emails from publishers and friends regarding the work, and a draft of the biographical excerpt. Dated circa 2000-2006.

Contains consecutive drafts of the work "Wolves," going through title changes. The first draft is titled "Wolves," the second "Mrs. Meyers," the third "David," and the final is a photocopy of the work (titled "Wolves") published in Dialogue in the winter of 2006. Dated circa 1971-2006.

Contains draft notes for Thayer's work "Red-tailed Hawk." Materials pertain to the publication, and include consecutive drafts of the work with author's commentary. Also includes correspondence with publishers and responses. Contains a photocopy of the work as published in the Wasatch Review International in Winter of 1992, a letter from Dan Pearce responding to the work, and consecutive drafts of the work. Dated circa 1971-2003.

Contains draft notes and files on Thayer's work "Carterville." Includes a photocopy of the story as published in the Fall 2005 edition of Dialogue magazine. There are letters from Dialogue, as well as emails to and from Thayer regarding revisions, additions to the works of other authors, and publication. Contains Thayer's draft files for the work "The Tree House." Includes manuscript drafts with and without author comments, letters and emails pertaining to the publication of the work, notes on its organization, and some research. Dated circa 1950-2008.

Includes a copy of the journal Irranteum from Autumn 2002. This edition features the work of Thayer and another Mormon author, Paul Edwards. It also contains book reviews, poems, stories, and novel excerpts (one of which is from Thayer's "A White House"). Folder also includes articles written by Thayer submitted to Irreantum, such as “The Locker Room,” “Memorial Day,” and others. Dated circa 1997-2010.
