The photographs are official photographs from the Marines and Navy perhaps collected by Hesterman from friends in other branches of the military. The memoirs details Hurst's conversion story and his stateside service during the war. The photographs are of Hurst in uniform and the groups of Latter-day Saints service men. Includes a manuscript copy of the book "The Deacon's Sinners" written by Matheny. The book details Matheny's flight training, his experiences flying in combat, and his life as a prisoner-of-war.
