Memoir details his training missions and paratrooper jumps in England prior to being moved to the front lines. A prominent account he gives is successfully running a German roadblock to deliver wounded soldiers to the hospital in Bastogne. Also includes thoughts on his interactions with German children and the impressions they left on him....
