Scope and Contents note This project is a collection of Mormon engagement stories. The analysis comments on the Mormon culture that gives context to many of these stories, and makes the following conclusions: an unofficial engagement often precedes the formal, men are dynamic and traditional in their proposal methods, often involve the Mormon temple, and Mormons value romance, with references to a popular movie called "The Notebook."
