Tabs removed from Scrapbook, “Private letters (E.D.W.),” 1855. (These paper strips were originally full sheets used for cataloging purposes previous to their being reduced to tabs on which letters were affixed. The remaining portions of writing are largely undecipherable.) Contains tabs from what were about 97 scrapbook pages, according to notes made by the Conservation Lab. Removed from their binding, these tabs have been unfolded to their original 49 leaves.
