He visited President John Quincy Adams with General Stephen Van Rensselaer and Mr. Joseph Hopkinson; he said he liked Adams but not as much as Calhoun. He tells Jane all about the people and politicians he is meeting through his cousin Elias Kent Kane's connections. Dated approximately 1825.
