Handwritten and signed letter addressed to J.L. Storm. Bland states that he was an elected official in Carson County, Utah, (later Nevada) in 1860. This was the only elected political post he ever held until elected to the 43rd congress from Missouri. The item is undated.

Bloede responds to Aylesworth's request fo biographical information. Also included is the two envelopes in which the letters were sent and a postcard stating that Bloede had received a note from Aylesworth.

He also states, "The United States have furnished Africa with the most effective instrument of unlimited progress and development in the Republic of Liberia." Also included is a printed biography of Blyden which was clipped from a newspaper.

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 13 Nov. 1908, and addressed to "My dear Supton." Bodington states, "My wife joins me in thanking you heartily for your most kind congratulations on the recognition which has been accorded to my 25 years of work here."

Handwritten and signed letter dated 29 Aug. 1893 and a typewritten and signed letter dated 10 Jan. 1896. Each item is addressed to "Mr. Walker," probably John Brisben Walker, editor of the Cosmopolitan Magazine. The items relate to the publication of Bok's works.

Aylesworth writes to Boner for biographical information and includes a list of important events in Boner's life. This list was corrected by Boner and returned to Aylesworth in the envelope found with the collection.
