One small notebook belonging to William McLachlan, father of Alice McLachlan Rich. The notebook is a calendar diary of 1888. Entries date from between September and December.

Correspondence mostly written to Alice M. Rich from Ben E. Rich. Other letters include those written from Ben Rich to various recipients conducting Eastern or Southern States Mission business. One 1913 letter was written to Alice M. Rich from a friend in condolences of Ben E. Rich's death earlier that year. A 1937 letter is addressed to Francis Rich, son of Ben and Alice.

Contains various papers, newspaper clippings, photographs, and memorabilia. Included are certificates granting Ben E. Rich membership in the Masons and Knights Templar of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Rich family reunion information, and a collection of newspaper clippings regarding church news and Ben E. Rich.
