Scope and Contents

Contains the hard leather-bound personal journals of Cannon that he penned from February 3, 1952, to October 20, 1976. The journals contain both handwritten and typewritten accounts from Cannon's life. They describe some of the time Cannon resided and worked in Lebanon, as well as a good portion of his teaching career at Brigham Young University.

Scope and Contents Consists of correspondence from family, friends, and acquaintances sent to and received by either Clawson Y. Cannon or his wife Winnifred; all date between the years 1948 and 1976. Most of the correspondence is from Cannon's family, especially his children. Events that generated the correspondence include the following: Christmas well-wishes, Cannon and his wife's 60th wedding anniversary, his wife's passing away in 1974, and her sickness before her passing.
