Scope and Contents note

This collection contains seven aerial photos of fifty acres of land near the mouth of Provo Canyon in Utah, which belonged to R. Sears Hintze. He contracted these photographs for development or sale of the land.

Biographical History

R. Sears Hintze (1918-1981) was a Brigham Young University graduate who went on to work as the director of the BYU Physical Facilities.

R. Sears Hintze was born August 24, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Anderson R. Wall and Jessie Sears Hintze. He moved to Provo in 1951 to attend Brigham Young University. After graduation, he stayed at BYU to supervise the maintenance department for auxiliary services. He then worked as the director of the BYU Physical Facilities. R. Sears Hintze died June 18, 1981 in Provo, Utah.

This collection of photographs of 50 acres near the mouth of Provo Canyon was contracted by R. Sears Hintze for development or sale.
