Scope and Contents

Contains histories, clippings, and photographs dealing primarily with the different religions found in the Provo and Orem areas of Utah. The individual histories of a large selection of Christian and non-Christian religions and how they began in Utah.

Conditions Governing Access

Restricted. Closed for 50 years from the date of creation of the records, and thereafter open to the public in accordance with the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Restriction Policy. Requests to access restricted materials in the University Archives should be submitted to the University Archivist.

Conditions Governing Use

It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from Records must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Board of Curators.

Administrative History

The Department of Family and Community History is part of the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences. The department used to be located in the Knight Mangum Building, but has since been relocated to the Joseph Fielding Smith Building. It is now known as the Center for Family History and Genealogy.
