Biographical History

The Farr family were Mormon pioneers who settled in Utah in 1850.

Winslow Farr Sr., the patriarch of the Farr family, was born in Chesterfield, New Hampshire on January 14, 1794 to Asahel Farr and Lydia Snow. He married Olive Hovey Freeman on December 5, 1816 in Hanover, Vermont. Olive Hovey Freeman was born June 23, 1799 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Elijah Freeman and Olive Hovey.They were the parents of six children- John, Aaron Freeman, Lorin, Olive Hovey, Diantha, and Winsow Jr. He and his family arrived in Utah on December 27, 1850 in the Joseph Young company. He died on August 25, 1867 in Big Cottonwood, Utah. Olive Hovey Freeman Farr died on March 10, 1893 in Big Cottonwood, Utah. The Farr family settled in Ogden, Utah and other parts of Utah.
