Biographical / Historical

George Cannon (1766-1811) was the captain of a slave ship from the Isle of Man, England.

George Cannon was born May 15, 1766 in Peel, Isle of Man, England to Hugh Cannon and Ellenor Addy. He married Leonora Callister on February 3, 1794. He was a captain aboard the Ship Iris and was mutineed on July 19, 1811.
