Scope and Contents

The attorney Bernardino di Cristoforo Cacchi was hired by the two younger sons of Pirro Passerini Bali, a citizen of Cortona, to protect their interests and the interests of their mother, Caterina the daughter of Filippo Gondi, "regarding the properties left by their beloved father and husband." Under the laws of Cortona, Cacchi took charge of the administration of the inheritance. The document records the profits and expenses earned from the properties of Pirro Passerni Bali to be sure that his money and the holdings be properly distributed among his heirs.
