Biographical / Historical

On March 24, 1890, Mads Jorgenson was sentenced to the Utah State Penitentiary for cohabitation (polygamy) by Judge Blackburn of the First District Court of Provo, Utah. He was given an autograph book (a blue plush cover with "Autographs" written and made out of silver on the cover), a present of a friend. Fellow prisoners were invited to write in the book. The following are copies of those autographs. Jenniev J. Poulson is Mads Jorgenson's granddaughter.
