Scope and Contents

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. The item is an autobiography of Lemuel Hardison Redd. "The above sketch of my life was written by my daughters, under my directions. In Lund White Pine County, Nevada. September 1907." Redd was born in North Carolina in 1836. He moved with his family to Salt Lake Valley when he was fourteen years old. They moved to Provo and then to Spanish Fork, Utah. Redd married Kezia Jane Butler on 3 January 1856 and took another wife, Sarah Lousia Chmerlean, years later. Redd lived in numerous places in Utah and Nevada and held many positions in the Mormon Church.
