Collection contains newspapers, including issues of the Deseret News, the Salt Lake Tribune, the Daily Herald, USA Today, the Times Independent, Wendover Times, the Park Record, La Prensa Times, La Prensa, and El Estránder. These newspapers all contain articles regarding Latinos or issues that affect Latino-Americans. Many of the articles feature Tony Yapias.

Biographical History
Tony Yapias is a Peru native who was appointed Director of Hispanic Affairs for the State of Utah.
Tony Yapias was born in Junin, Peru in 1967. In 1981, at the age of fourteen, Tony immigrated to the United States. He spent his high school years in Evanston, Wyoming. After high school, Tony attended Brigham Young University, where he received his degree in International Relations. He worked as a Senior Juvenile Probation Officer for ten years, until his appointment as Director of Hispanic Affairs for the State of Utah by former Governor Mike Leavitt. He currently writes for a Latino newspaper and has his own radio talk show.
