Biographical History

Burtis F. Robbins (1890-1973) was a surgeon in Salt Lake, an active member and missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as a significant contributor to his community.

Biographical History

Edythe Christenson Robbins (1900-1991) was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in addition to being a marked contributor to her local community. She served with her husband in Germany while he was mission president there.

Appraisal note

Utah and the American West and LDS cultural, social, and religious history (20th Century Western & Mormon Manuscripts collection development policy, 5.VII, August 2007). The collection includes missionary and mission presidency correspondence as well as information about the lives of mission presidents and their families in the mid-twentieth century, which assists in understanding the lives of mission presidents and their families.
